Telangana Loan Waiver Scheme for Handloom Weavers 2025: Check Benefits, Eligibility

The Chief Minister of Telangana launched the Telangana Loan Waiver Scheme for Handloom Weavers on Sunday, 9th March 2025. Under this scheme, the Telangana State Government will waive all the outstanding loans of the handloom weavers of the state, thereby relieving the weavers from the burden of debt and restarting their business. The scheme aims to empower the handloom industry, improve the economic condition of the weavers, and boost their employment opportunities. All the citizens of the Telangana state who wish to apply under this scheme and get their loan waived off must meet its eligibility criteria. Telangana Loan Waiver Scheme for Handloom Weavers 2025

The Telangana government has launched the Telangana Loan Waiver Scheme for Handloom Weavers 2025 to provide financial relief to the handloom weavers of the state. Under this scheme, loans up to ₹ 1 lakh of handloom weavers of Telangana state will be waived. This loan has been taken between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2024. The government has allocated a budget of ₹ 33 crore for this scheme. After the loan waiver, weavers can apply for new working capital loans so that they can expand their business. This scheme reflects the commitment of the Telangana government to the weavers and will be helpful in the sustainable development of the handloom sector of the state.
